This policy explains how Westwell Press ("we", "us") collects and uses your personal information when you visit westwellpress.co.uk or buy from us. We follow the UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018 and, for customers in the EU, the EU GDPR.

What we collect

  • Order details: your name, email address, billing country and the products you bought.
  • Payment details: handled securely by Shopify Payments and our payment providers. We never see or store your full card number.
  • Messages: anything you send us by email or through the contact form.
  • Device and usage data: IP address, browser type and pages viewed, collected through cookies (see below).
  • Newsletter: your email address, only if you choose to sign up.

Why we use it

  • To deliver your downloads and send order emails (to perform our contract with you).
  • To answer questions and fix problems with files (contract and legitimate interests).
  • To keep records for tax and accounting (legal obligation).
  • To prevent fraud and keep the shop secure (legitimate interests).
  • To send our newsletter and offers (your consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link).

Who we share it with

Our shop runs on Shopify, which stores and processes data on our behalf. We also share data with payment providers to take payment, and with email and analytics tools we use to run the shop. Some of these providers process data outside the UK; where they do, they use approved safeguards such as standard contractual clauses. We never sell your personal information.

Cookies

We use cookies that are needed for the basket and checkout to work, and, with your permission, cookies for analytics and marketing. You can change your choice at any time through the cookie banner or your browser settings.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for six years for tax purposes. Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe. Other messages are deleted when they're no longer needed.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, delete or move the personal information we hold about you, object to how we use it, or withdraw consent. Email info@westwellpress.co.uk and we'll reply within one month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or your local data protection authority.

Children

Our shop is meant for adults. Children's activity products are bought by parents, carers and teachers; we don't knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
